Section 1 of 3
For skilled professionals
If you're looking for work in mining, trades, engineering, healthcare or IT — start here.
What is Western Global Talent?
Australia's first dedicated talent search engine, focused on connecting skilled professionals with employers in the sectors where local supply has not kept up with demand — mining and resources, trades and construction, engineering, healthcare and IT. Based in Perth, working across every state and territory.
Who can register as a professional?
The platform is open to skilled professionals across our five focus sectors who hold the right to work in Australia. We're particularly looking for mining and resources talent, trades, engineers, healthcare workers and IT specialists. If you can demonstrate skills and experience in a role Australia is actively trying to fill, your profile is welcome.
How does Western Global Talent help me find work?
Once your profile is live, employers searching for your skills can find you directly and contact you through the platform. We surface profiles to the employers most likely to be hiring for your sector, location, rates and availability — no agency middleman, no waiting in a recruitment queue.
Which industries does WGT focus on?
Five sectors where Australian demand has outpaced local supply for years: mining and resources, trades and construction, engineering, healthcare, and information technology. We've deliberately stayed concentrated rather than spread thin.
Is registration free for professionals?
Yes. Registering on the platform, building your profile and being discovered by employers costs nothing. We believe skilled professionals shouldn't pay to be hireable.
How do I get my profile listed?
Register an account, complete your profile (sector, location, day rate, skills tags, experience and availability), upload your CV, and submit. Our team reviews each profile to confirm the core details before it goes live in employer search results — usually within a business day.
How long until I'm matched with work?
It depends on your sector, your rates and what's in demand that week. Profiles in chronically-short specialisations — senior mining trades, in-demand engineering disciplines, sought-after IT skill sets — often see employer contact within days. The platform is built for urgency.
Can I work across multiple states?
Yes. The platform is national. Mark your willingness to relocate or work FIFO/DIDO and employers from other states will find you. A significant share of our highest-demand placements are interstate professionals flying into WA mining and resources.
How are profiles vetted?
We verify what's checkable on every profile before it goes live — skills claims against CVs and references, professional registrations where relevant, and Australian working rights. Incomplete or unverifiable profiles don't reach the search results.
How will employers contact me?
Through the platform. Employers see your professional details but not your direct contact details until you choose to share them. You control which conversations to engage with — there's no obligation to respond to every approach.
